Top 20 Trunk or Treat Ideas for Church in 2020

As a parent, as I make my Halloween plans I am looking for churches and businesses that are hosting trunk or treat events.

The great thing is a trunk or treat is a fairly easy and cost effective event to coordinate to promote your children's ministry. Giving congregation members the creative freedom to decorate their trunks and bring their own candy to pass out.

It's also a COVID-19 friendly event! One that if you so choose could be adapted to be a DRIVE-THRU. Kids don't even get out of their cars.

So here is a list of the top 20 ideas for 2020 Themes:

OUTREACH GOAL

Don't forget your intended purpose and goal for this event. If it is to connect more families into your ministry you will want to include information about your church service times. BUT, remember to keep it simple, parents aren't going to read through a tri-fold brochure no matter how magnificently designed it is! You could use a post card size "flyer" that has a picture(s) of happy kids with service times and social media or website links, YOU'RE INVITED. Keep text to a minimal.
